Thèmes de recherche

Mes activités de recherche ont pour but de modéliser le transfert de chaleur et de matière dans les sprays, ce qui se révèle d’une grande importance industrielle. Mes travaux portent sur des aspects variés liés à cette thématique : l'évaporation et la combustion de gouttes constituées de produits de différentes volatilités, les interactions aérodynamiques entre gouttes et leurs influences sur les échanges de matière et de chaleur, le refroidissement de parois par spray impactant. Ce thème est abordé avec une démarche essentiellement expérimentale. Les études reposent sur la mise au point de métrologies optiques avancées qui sont développées spécialement pour caractériser des paramètres physiques faisant défaut à la compréhension des phénomènes. Elles font, par exemple, appel à la fluorescence induite par laser à deux couleurs qui est une des rares techniques permettant de mesurer la température des gouttes.

Formation et diplômes

2001-2004      
Doctorat en mécanique énergétique de l’Université Henri Poincaré de Nancy.
Titre : Etude aérothermique d’un jet de gouttes monodispersé en évaporation et en combustion à l’aide de méthodes optiques.
2000-2001 DEA de mécanique énergétique à l’Institut National Polytechnique de Lorraine.
1998-2001 Diplôme d’ingénieur de l’ENSEM (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Electricité et de Mécanique) de Nancy, option : Mécanique des Fluides et Thermiques Avancée.

Expérience professionnelle

Depuis 10/2006 Chargé de Recherche au CNRS affecté au LEMTA (Laboratoire d'Energétique et de Mécanique Théorique et Appliquée).
2005-2006 Stage postdoctoral effectué au SLA (Institut de mécanique des fluides et d’aérodynamisme, Technische Universität Darmstadt) sous la direction du Pr. C. Tropea.
Sujet de recherche: Etude de l’évaporation de gouttes comportant des particules solides en suspension. 
2004-2005 ATER  au département de Génie Civile de l’IUT Nancy-Brabois.
2001-2004 Moniteur à l’ENSEM.

Enseignements

  • Cours de métrologie en master 2 MEPI (Mécanique Energétique et Procédés Industriels). Ce cours a pour objectif de familiariser les étudiants à des techniques de mesures optiques.

  • Cours de combustion en 3ème année de l’école des Mines de Nancy, département : énergie, production, transformation. Ce cours a été mis en place avec un deuxième intervenant Olivier Penanhoat (Ingénieur à la SNECMA). Mes interventions concernent des aspects fondamentaux de la combustion : flammes de prémélange et de diffusion laminaires, les ondes de détonation, la combustion supersonique, et la combustion des brouillards,...
